Account Registration

To access CodeQuest, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has consented to your use of the Service.

Subscription Plans & Payment

CodeQuest offers a free trial and several paid subscription tiers (Recruit, Operative, Veteran). By selecting a paid plan, you agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen tier.

• Free Trial: Provides limited, time-restricted access. No payment required.
• Monthly (Recruit): Billed monthly. Cancel anytime — access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Annual (Operative): Billed annually. Cancel anytime — access continues until the end of the annual period.
• Lifetime (Veteran): One-time payment for permanent access to the current platform and all future updates.

Prices are listed in GBP (£) and may be updated with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will not be affected mid-cycle.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
• Share, sell, or transfer your account to another person
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the platform
• Attempt to manipulate leaderboards, XP, or reward systems

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Intellectual Property

All content on CodeQuest — including missions, code challenges, artwork, character designs, UI elements, text, and branding — is owned by CodeQuest or its licensors and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

In-Game Items & Currency

Nexus Crystals, loot crates, skill cards, badges, and cosmetic items are virtual items with no real-world monetary value. They are licensed to you, not sold. We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or remove virtual items and currency at any time. Virtual items cannot be transferred, traded outside the platform, or exchanged for real currency.

User Content

Any code you write, submit, or share through the platform remains yours. By submitting code to leaderboards, battles, or shared projects, you grant CodeQuest a non-exclusive licence to display and use that content within the platform for ranking, educational, and promotional purposes.

Disclaimers

CodeQuest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any coding skills gained will result in employment. CodeQuest is an educational and entertainment platform — it is not a formal qualification or accredited certification programme.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeQuest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

Refund Policy

Monthly and annual subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but are non-refundable for the current billing period. Lifetime purchases are non-refundable after 14 days from purchase, in accordance with UK consumer rights legislation. If you experience issues within 14 days of a lifetime purchase, contact us for a full refund.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
